Apple’s market share doubles

Apple’s laptop market share in the US doubled to 12% last quarter from 6% in the first quarter (and this itself was an increase). I’d say this is entirely due to the release of the MacBook which has to be the best laptop Apple has ever released. It’s also apparent that a lot of people are STILL holding off on purchases of new Intel Macs until the next big thig arrives.
First off, we’re expecting the “Mac Pro”, Apple’s replacement for the PowerMac G5, to be unveiled in two weeks or so. Likely to be using Intels new workstation processors, it’s going to be a shot in the arm for performance again though STILL some people are going to wait for the new machines available NEXT YEAR due to a lack of some crucial apps - notably Photoshop.
We’ve been exceedingly pleased with every Intel machine we’ve had in. Solid performers all.
